Le Ballon Rouge by Albert Lamorisse

In 1956, French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse (1922-1970) shot a nice short film called Le Ballon Rouge (The Red Balloon) which follows the adventures of a young boy who one random day finds a ballon in Paris.

The film has won numerous awards, such as the Oscar for Lamorisse writing the best original screenplay, as well as the Palme d’Or for short films at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival.

Even though this film might be known by many of you, perhaps this is a moment to rewatch something that reminds you of chilhood or just beautiful moments in life. In any case, enjoy.
