Diane Arbus at Foam
It already started yesterday with the unofficial opening. The photography museum Foam in Amsterdam will be exhibiting Diane Arbus (1923-1971) revolutionary and influential work within its very walls. The show will run from the 26th of October until the 13th of January, 2013.
Arbus found mainly inspiration with the landscape of New York and its broad variety of inhabitants. Foam will exhibit all those interesting portraits Arbus took during her career: couples, children, carnival performers, nudists, middle-class families, transvestites, zealots, eccentrics, and celebrities - which all examine the relationship between appearance and identity.
