Happy 100th Birthday, Gisèle d’Ailly van Waterschoot van der Gracht
Her name might be unusual, but it’s nothing compared to her exceptional lifestory: Today, the Amsterdam resident and world citizen Gisèle d’Ailly van Watershoot van der Gracht turns 100 years old and we want to congratulate her!
A couple of weeks ago, the painter and publisher invited our Amsterdam Team, Jordi Huisman and Thijs van Velzen, to her home and told us about her childhood in the U.S., living in a castle, and how she provided shelter to intellectuals and artists in her Dutch home during World War II.
We are excited to present this facinating lady to you in an extensive FvF portrait soon.
