Blending many disciplines and genres, Tomás Saraceno is an artist who defies categorization. Some of his work revolves around personal interaction and human habitation, toying with perceptions of utopia and distopia as well as the creation of boundaries. His exhibit “Cloud Cities” is showing at the Hamburger Banhoff in Berlin until January 15, 2011.
This image is from his series “Universe at an age of about 2 billion years.” See more work on his website or on his gallery’s website.
