Rare Vintage Gems from Around the World
Mahnaz Ispahani Bartos’s knowledge of political history, honed over 25 years as a global policy expert, serves her well in her new venture as a dealer of rare, vintage gems from around the world.
In her light-filled Upper East Side studio, trays display treasures like a 1970s Boucheron necklace with brightly colored stones and a Canilla for the Italian house Mario Masenza gold bracelet from the ’60s.  Each of her finds is carefully curated and precisely researched so that, quite literally, no stone is left unturned. Read the entire piece on her passion, on T Magazine here.

Freunde von Freunden Mixtapes Available on Mixcloud
Since our FvF Mixtapes were banned from Soundcloud in the beginning of the year 2014, we were searching for a solution how to legally keep sharing our precious compilations.
We found our rescue in the London based Mixcloud Platform – a licensed platform that pays royalties for the tracks streamed within each radio show or DJ mix. With their recently launched Pro accounts, we have access to a sophisticated analytics dashboard showing a breakdown of our audience size, source and location. This way we can continue uploading our favorite music compiled by our team and friends while bearing in mind the needs of our listeners.
Follow our profile on Mixcloud, as we will soon upload our full Mixtape library – from the very first FvF Mixtape until mix #67 – so you’ll have access to a variety of sounds ranging from Soul, Rock and Pop, to House, Techno and Disco.  For more information on our FvF mixtapes, go here.

Spotlight On: Gordon Holden
Gordon Holden is striving for imperfection in his work and makes it look like it’s been put together in haste, which might be true but that’s not the point. His photography and collages are a mishmash of things to like and things to dislike, as the Californian artist puts it.
His work looks spontaneous and relaxed, yet it’s thought-provoking and triggers the viewer’s intellectual engagement.
